Mix Archive: Vril

Welcome back to our Mix Archive series, in which we shine a spotlight on some of our favourite electronic mixes from the past decade or two. Whether it’s through unearthing lesser known gems, or resurfacing some all-time classics; we’ve got you covered.

September’s entry comes from German dub-techno artist Vril. Closely affiliated with the legendary Giegling and Delsin labels, his shadowy persona combined with his analogue first approach to production gave rise to a signature sound which feels shrouded in mystery and intrigue, but rich with glacial beauty.

His XLR8R podcast from 2016 showcases this across ninety minutes of hypnotic dub-techno, laden with once unreleased gems. Check it out via the link below.
